Same-Name Rummy Apps: Why One Name Has Many Packages
Hi Rummy, Jaiho Rummy, Boss Rummy and others exist as several unrelated packages. How it happens, real examples and how to check which one you have. 18+.
On this site, many app names map to more than one Android package. Here’s why that happens and how to tell them apart.
Real examples from our reviews
- Hi Rummy: three Google Play packages from three developers.
- Jaiho Rummy: two promoted packages, plus three free games with the same name on major directories.
- Boss Rummy: a DAYALA TECH Play listing and two other packages.
- Royally Rummy and 334 Rummy: one package,
com.rummy334, used under both names. - Rummy Comfun: a 10M+ free Play game whose name is borrowed by cash-bonus APK pages.
Why it happens
- App names aren’t unique on Android; package names are.
- Small studios publish free “offline” games under popular cash-app names to catch search traffic.
- White-label templates let one operator launch many brands, so the same name can be re-launched with a new package after a ban.
How to check yours
- Settings › Apps › [app] › App details: note the package name and version.
- Compare with the package on our review.
- If it differs, you have another app: bonuses, accounts and support from the reviewed one don’t apply.

Frequently asked questions
Can two apps have the same package name?
Not on one phone. Android refuses to install a second app with the same package unless it is signed by the same developer.
Which same-name app do you review?
The newest or most-installed package on a major store becomes the main entry; others are listed as same-name packages.
