APK Identity & Safety

Use package, publisher, version and Android details to identify the right app.

The same rummy app name often belongs to several unrelated Android apps. Before you install one or enter your phone number, confirm that the file is the app you meant to get. Here are the checks we use on every review.

1. Package name

Every Android app has a unique package name, such as in.glg.tajrummy. Two apps can share a display name and icon, but never a package name. Each of our reviews shows the package of the main entry and lists the same-name packages to avoid.

2. Developer

Compare the developer shown on Google Play or a directory such as APKPure with the one on the review. A different developer means a different app, even if the screenshots look the same.

3. Version and date

A file with a much older version, or one far newer than any listing, is a warning sign. Unofficial “mod” or “latest” pages often relabel old builds.

4. Signature

If Android says the app “conflicts with an existing package”, the file is signed by a different developer from the app already on your phone. Don’t force it by uninstalling until you’re sure which one is genuine.

5. Permissions

A card game doesn’t need access to your SMS, contacts, microphone or accessibility services. Deny those requests, and treat an app that won’t work without them as suspect.

Protect your account

  • Never share an OTP, your UPI PIN or KYC documents over WhatsApp or Telegram.
  • Genuine platforms don’t charge a fee to release a withdrawal.
  • Ignore “agents” offering extra bonuses or VIP upgrades for a payment.
